Alberdo is a prime supplier of anchor tie rods or tension rods in the Philippines. We have fabricated tie rods for various projects of DPWH, PPA, and private contractors. Anchor tie rod is a steel material used to provide tension resistance on two opposing structures. These are commonly used on sheet piles or pipe piles which serve as retention walls. They are composed of high tension steel which can hold at least 300MPa tensile pressure, depending on the design.

Generally, we use SAE1045 for low tensile tie rods and AISI4140 for higher pressure. However, if stated in the design we can use much higher steel for the anchor rod.

Our steel grade and design are in compliance with global standards. We are the preferred supplier of anchor tie rod and tension rod for various projects of DPWH and PPA not just in Manila but all around the Philippines. Our material grade is open for third party inspection and testing to assure you of the quality that we offer.

There are three basic components of the tie rod, namely the rod, the anchor plate, and the anchor nut. Another main component of the anchor rod is the turnbuckle. It is a steel threaded tube that allows variable tensioning on the rod when turns. It is threaded inside in both right hand and left hand. In the instance that the design requires a longer length, three or more rods can be connected by a coupler.
